The State Street Utility Sector Spider ETF or XLU tracks the utility sector responsible for the power generation required by AI infrastructure.
That XLU chart is some ugly. I thought you were supposed to be safe. uh in not I don't really think that's the case in uh interest uh rate raising environments because they're so uh dependent on on rates being low.

XLU may rebound due to data center power demand, but old school utilities lack capacity, making the rebound uncertain.
Uh [snorts] XLU down 10% but don't they need the power for data centers? Maybe rebound coming. There's the belief there, but uh think about the capacity they have already. So, the old school utilities, and I'm going to sort of dissect them here.
Old school utilities, they're not already doing this. They're not preparing for that. They can't handle all this extra at the moment. So, could there be something there? I don't know, but right now, think about it.

Utilities are underperforming with a clear breakdown and relative strength weakness, indicating more downside potential.
And then we have utilities, which is doing the same. So, that's also moving to an underperformer, and it's now one of the weakest sectors in this whole universe. You can see also that it started to move up, but it didn't make it into the improving quadrant.
It rolled over and curled back even with a negative heading right now.
