Turning to Tesla, the week began at 361, and Tesla shares rose by about 1% this week to reach 364. This comes as the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the government agency that oversees traffic safety, conducts an audit.

They want Tesla to provide answers about the "Cyber Cab". Given that a company like Amazon has obtained permits to launch Zoox taxis that have no brakes or accelerator pedal, I think Tesla may have been a little lax when it came to unveiling the Cyber Cab.

However, I suppose Tesla can somehow overcome this obstacle. They have until September 30, about two weeks or so, to respond to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration regarding the design of the "Cyber Cab".

My guess is that they will probably point out the fact that these vehicles are already in operation and , fortunately, no serious accidents have occurred so far .

And then there's the NHTSA, the government agency that monitors traffic on highways and the like, launching an investigation into whether this car meets safety standards, given that it does n't have brakes, a steering wheel, or anything like that .

Now, it appears to be a fully autonomous vehicle, not one of those passengerless robot taxis , but a regular car. I think it was a Model Y. Reportedly, it was operating in Full Self-Driving mode.

It was attempting a left turn, and unfortunately, someone was struck and seriously injured in the incident. It seems to still be under investigation, but it's a sad situation. Meanwhile, Tesla is highlighting its Full Self-Driving safety record, while the EU considers expanding its approval.

I think at this point, everyone can agree, or not everyone. I mean, there's always someone in my comments with " Elon syndrome, " and I'm telling you guys, if you have a problem with Elon Musk and Tesla, that's your problem.

Don't try to make it mine . I don't care if you don't like Elon Musk. I don't care if you do n't like Tesla. I really don't care. It's not my problem. I bought Tesla stock a long time ago, and I've made a substantial profit from it.

We're talking about a six-figure sum that I don't care about. That said , I think we can all agree that Full Self-Driving is probably safer than most human drivers, maybe not all, but Most of them probably will.

And we'll see what the EU decides on that. Is it perfect ? Is fully autonomous driving perfect? As someone who uses it 85% of the time, I'd say it isn't. Now, August registrations for their regular, people-driven cars, like the Model Y and Model 3, have surged in France and Denmark, but declined in Norway and Sweden.

In fact, sales in France jumped 280% and in Denmark 104%, as rising petrol prices worldwide push people to reconsider electric vehicles.
