Joby has been working for about 15 years to bring a flying vehicle to market. The product is a hybrid between an electric helicopter and a regular airplane. It takes off like a helicopter, then flies like an airplane.

It doesn't travel long distances because it's electric, but it's quiet, which makes it completely different for urban environments.

I recently upgraded the rankings on Joby Aviation and Archer Aviation stocks, informing investors with a very high risk tolerance that the risk versus reward is now worthwhile for these EVTOL companies.

But now I'm getting the question, which one of these two EVTOL companies is the better investment at current market prices? So when we're looking at scale, Joby Aviation has the early advantage with $116 million in trailing 12-month revenue compared to just 6.9 million for Archer Aviation.

On August 11th, Joby Aviation made an acquisition of Resident Sciences that could roughly double the company's revenue.

I've had a chance to evaluate that acquisition, the impact it could have on the company's cash flow, and evaluate the business, considering this acquisition and the progress the company has made overall to determine if this is a buying opportunity for investors with a very high risk tolerance.

But let's delve deeper into the stock I bought the largest portion of this month, which is Joby Aviation. If you are not familiar with Joby Aviation, they manufacture this electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft .

Therefore, it takes off just like a helicopter. In fact, the aircraft has six rotors. In theory, it would be much safer than flying a helicopter, because if one of them malfunctions, it will be able to land safely, and it is also capable of flying in a manner similar to conventional airplanes when moving horizontally.

The way I like to think about it is: it takes off like a helicopter, and flies a little more like a private jet.

Joby dropped that report and the numbers tell a story of a company that's actually getting close to launch and they completed over 850 flights across five aircrafts last year, 2 and a.5% increase and became the first electric air taxi company to fly that routine pilotinhabited transition flight through the full envelope from vertical takeoff to cruise down to landing.
